Ryoko & Karin both have canonical excuses for this built into their canons but we can bullshit something for the others too LMAO

Or it could be some sort of forbidden relationship if we want to go THAT kind of route!

Our characters are involved in a Holy Grail War, in which mages summon the Heroic Spirits of heroes and historical figures from the past to battle over the wish-granting Holy Grail. Once a mage summons a Servant, they become a Master and only the last pair standing can take the Holy Grail! This is basically TAILOR MADE for all of the shippy nonsense here, especially bodyguard romance and injury aftercare. Hell yeah!!!! Mostly for this, I'd be interested in playing around either with translating an existing canon conflict into a Holy Grail War or playing around with our own. I'm most interested in Yuri and Garnet as Masters and Lambda as a Servant, but i'm flexible either way if it seems like it makes the dynamic more fun!

Characters are paired together as Groom and Bride and have to fight other Grooms, while also having a whole bunch of interpersonal drama. As the meme itself puts it: One part strength through sex, one part soulmates meme, one part sentinel/guides meme, add some fighting couples and a whole lot of (prettily packaged) mindfuck... I'm happy to completely yeet the sexual aspect of it I just think this premise is cool!!!

Pyrrha had still held onto the glimmering hope that maybe this week would be the one to break the pattern, but a quick test of her Semblance this morning had mostly dashed that hope. Their abilities partially returned a few days prior, with the promise that anyone who eliminated another captive would have them returned permanently.]
[But this morning, as it had when they'd first arrived, her Semblance was entirely gone again. Maybe it didn't mean someone had taken the bait, maybe they'd just run out some kind of unstated timer. Maybe something nice would happen! Maybe they could get a nice quiet breakfast and have a normal Friday.]
[The kitchen of Station Square Chao is an absolute mess. Entirely aside from the way things are scattered everywhere, it looks like there have been multiple explosions, a few minor fires are still burning, the iron-metallic scent of blood is thick in the air. And of course there's the suspiciously still figure slumped against the badly damaged row of cabinets.]

She gives off the impression of some kind of small, easily frightened animal, or a fragile object that's skittered too close to the edge of a shelf.
Which is why it might be a surprise that even with bodies hitting the floor, Sophie's been holding it together – she's shed more than her share of tears and had her moments of quiet despair, but somehow, despite everything, Sophie is almost always one of the first to pick herself back up on a Sunday morning.
Or, in this case, she's almost always one of the first to go out investigating on a Friday. Today, she's gripping a long-handle broom like some kind of staff, as if she expects to need to use it on someone. Things have never come to that before, but she's certainly not going to put her new friends at risk now.

What if she's actually Bryn's second Master? The one who originally summoned her got Very Dead because they tried to order Bryn around and got really shitty with her when she wouldn't communicate with them in a way they understood. So she wanders out of the summoning circle still probably covered in blood and Astra shows up because her whole mystic-visions-read-the-stars thing told her to be here today.
Cue Astra actually being able to communicate with her to some degree because she understands music intimately and is capable of treating it like a language. She manages to calm her down and form a Servant contract with her.
Everyone else probably thinks she's a Berserker, but no.
